  • Ali Porter
  • Froggy's owner Ali Porter had a successful career in entertainment management and event planning.

    Porter decided to open Froggy’s after the births of her two  children. Opening Froggy's brought her back to her creative roots and utilizing her art degree from Loyola Marymont University.

    Ali Porter is involved in the daily management of Froggy's Toluca Lake and teaches various classes and workshops.

 

 

  • Marina Joseph
  • Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Marina Joseph moved to California in 2004 to pursue her dream of becoming an animator.

    Soon after graduating in 2008 from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA with a BFA in Animation and Visual Effects, Marina moved to Los Angeles to work in various award-winning animated TV shows and movies. Marina is also co-founder and Creative Director of a design and prototyping business.

    Marina’s passion for animation and design combined with her love for children (and their incredible imagination!); also lead her to teach animation workshops for kids all around Los Angeles. At Froggy’s, Marina found a very comfortable and inviting environment to settle her workshop

 

 
  • Stefanie Girard
  • Stefanie Girard has been "cutting up" and re-purposing stuff since she learned to use scissors. She has a degree in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute.

    She has authored 4 jewelry making book/kits for Walter Foster Publishing in addition to her latest book; Sweater Surgery: How to Make New Things With Old Sweaters for Quarry Books.

    Originally from Connecticut she move to California and worked in the entertainment industry first as a set decorator and prop master specializing in kid's TV and then moved into producing How-to TV shows. 

    Currently she is Craft Marketing Specialist for the Quayside Publishing Group and writes their http://craftside.typepad.com/ and her own http://sweatersurgery.blogspot.com/   

    When she is not spreading the crafty word throughout the internet she can be found at Froggy’s teaching knitting, crochet, sewing to students of all ages in groups or one on one. 



  • Ashlee Rose
  • Ashlee-Rose is an LA Based Artist and Actress who contributes her art experience, knowledge and love for children to Froggy’s.

    Growing up in a creative environment inspired her career & the importance of art in a child’s life. Ashlee-Rose graduated from an acting conservatory in Los Angeles in 2008 when she combined her love for children & the arts by joining the Froggy’s team.

    Her teaching methods involve patience within the artist as well as hands on art lessons. Ashlee-Rose also teaches our Summer & Winter camp at Froggy’s and her curriculums encourage kids to grow creatively.  www.Ashlee-Rose.com

 


  • Joanna Lewis
  • Joanna had an early interest in art and was encouraged by her parents to pursue this lifelong love. 

    From Oklahoma to Los Angeles to Florence, Italy, Joanna has studied classic, Renaissance and modern art.  Some favorite artists are Salvadore Dali, Caravaggio and Georgia O'Keeffe. 

    She has her BFA from Pepperdine University and just happens to love frogs.
